GENERAL BY-LAWS OF THE
FAULKNER REUNION BOARD 1994
A. The term of the officers for the Board of Directors shall be FOUR (4) YEARS.
B. The Board shall be responsible for finalizing the location of the future reunion sites.
C. The Board shall maintain the Family History including the Tree and Directory.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICERS
CHAIRMAN
1. Call the meeting to order at the time designated
2. Set agenda for meeting
NORMAL ORDER OF BUSINESS
- Reading of previous minutes
- Treasurer’s report
- Scholarship fund report Finalizing future reunion site location
- Family members accomplishments
- Old Business
- New Business
- Memorial for deceased
3. Recognize family/friends entitled to the floor
4. To slate and to put to vote all questions which are regularly moved and announce the result of the vote.
5. Initiate phone chain to other members of the board when notified of important news/events such as deaths, hospitalization of family members/friends
6. Address family concerns/debates
7. Inform the assembly when necessary on point of order, etc. or practices pertinent to pending business
SECRETARY
1. Record minutes and custodian of Board and family reunion minutes
2. Authorized to contact Treasurer re: deaths, hospitalization of family members/friends for funds for flowers, etc.
3. Record all funds, expenditures as reported by Treasurer and Scholarship Fund Chairman
4. Update Family Directory
5. Maintain a minimum fund on hand for postage for communication to reunion or board members of important events
6. Keep records of by-laws, purpose of Board of Directors, terms of each board member
7. Responsible for annual report at family reunion meetings
NOTE: Not responsible for contacting family members/friends of upcoming reunion sites, directions, lodging arrangements, etc. This is the host family’s responsibility.
TREASURER
1. Keep accurate account of family funds
2. Deposit funds in a credible financial institution
3. Authorized to distribute set funds to host families/treasurer
4. Authorized to pay or reimburse the Secretary for monies spent on family member funerals (flowers, etc.)
5. Responsible for holding funds deposited for family activities (monies collected at family reunions, refunds if any, from host families after expenditures for hosting reunion) as authorized by family reunion through the Board of Directors
6. Responsible for expenditures as directed by family reunion or Board of Directors
7. Responsible for annual report at family reunion meetings
SCHOLARSHIP FUND CHAIRMAN
1. Keep accurate account of all funds
2. Deposit funds in a credible financial institution
3. Distribute funds as directed by family reunion to qualified students of the family
4. Responsible for annual report at family reunion meetings
INVESTING IN FAMILY
FAULKNER FAMILY REUNION ANNUAL REGISTRATION FORM
The Annual fee can also be collected the day of check-in if it has not been paid prior to. The reunion board asks for all families to pay the registration fee to help keep our reunion bank account funded. For example, this covers seed money, funeral flowers, any correspondence to family members and other expenses. Faulkner Family Reunion Dues are requested from every adult, every year. The dues support Family Reunion administrative activities including, but not limited to, Annual Reunion Host seed money, family communications, and expressions of sympathy and condolence.
